We are spending the night in Van Horn, TX, we're only a little ways from the Rio Grande. The country side went from flat ugly to flat green with flowers, hilly with trees and flowers then the beginning of what I'm sure there will be many of tomorrow, plateaus. The weather is OK but not my favorite, glad the car has a good air conditioner. The sunset was beautiful, the picture does not do it justice. Daddy doesn't stop except for gas and food so stopping for some good pictures is out of the question. The speed limit is 80 so we're moving right along. Had dinner at a truck stop, great burgers, out in the middle of nowhere. Most of Texas is out in the middle of nowhere. New Mexico and Arizona tomorrow. Hope there are some good shots from the gas stations and restaurants. Did I mention I love technology? Good night all.
I voted for plan everything and have reservations. now john would have voted just go without a plan, maybe that is why we balance each other out so well. Have fun. oh and maybe the way to get your dad to stop more often is to tell your him you have a stomach ache just before a known beautiful stop, and tell him you have to use the bathroom! That is the difference between men and women, hell i would stop at everything and we would need 3 months for the trip.
