Greetings from Vallejo. I'll be down here for a few days visiting the "boys." Dad made spaghetti for dinner and I bought some beautiful strawberries on the way down so we'll be having shortcake for dessert.
It seems normal having dad here. He has his routine and seems completely fine with the arrangements. I found out that Susan has already moved her first x-husband in. Shocking but not a surprise, I had a feeling she had some sort of a plan before she filed for divorce. I don't know if I'll ever completely understand but I do know that I am glad to have dad here with us.
Dillon is closer to having his car on the road. They trailered it to Union City yesterday to have the experts take a look. There is still more work but he is getting close. I can't wait for him to have a vehicle, it's a pain not having a car, believe me I know. Where we live there isn't good public transportation, there is nothing where I live except the taxi. I would take the bus if it came down my road.
Were going to take dad to Alameda tomorrow for a tour of a naval museum on the US Hornet. I'll be meeting up with a dear friend, Kate who lives in Alameda. She just had knee surgery and isn't up for too much walking so we'll probably just sit and chat while the boys take the tour.
The shortcake is calling so I'll say good night, enjoy the long week-end.
