What a wonderful start to the Summer. The weather is perfect for this old gal.

The kids and I met daddy and Galen in Tracy on Saturday for an early Father's Day dinner. I love dad is so close now so we can do things like that. We ate at the Texas Roadhouse, great food, very casual, very loud, line dancing in the walkways, peanut shells on the floor, it was pretty cool.
The concert Sunday was great. I forgot how many songs Chicago and The Doobie Bros. recorded. I knew every single one of them. The Doobies played first then Chicago then they both took the stage. They were quite entertaining.

I was sitting out in the yard with the dogs Sunday morning and I hear some water dripping. I shouldn't be hearing any water doing anything so I start looking around. It's coming from the pump house and the door is stuck. I finally get it open and the water gushes out. Who knows how long the pipe has been leaking but I have always had a very high electric bill. I call the landlord, no answering machine so I call her brother, no answering machine. Fine, forget them, WHO THE HELL DOESN'T HAVE AN ANSWERING MACHINE? I call Galen, get this plumbers tape he says. So I do, $13 a roll tape, doesn't do anything but change the direction of the spray. Today I will see if I can find a short enough pipe repair clamp. The water is so full of minerals that there is no way they are coming apart without Super Man lending a hand.

Where I live there is still ditch water, it's an open water system left over from the gold rush days when the water was moved around using a network of flumes and ditches. Every summer the landlady has the ditch water turned on for irrigation. I have a sprinkler going 24-7. The fruit is plump and the lawn stays green. Gutter flooding is not an issue as it runs right into the creek and the lake is maybe a half a mile away. Usually by this time of the year it's already been on for at least a month.

Have a productive week and keep an eye out for motorcyclist. We're everywhere.
