I love this weather, I know a lot of you are craving the heat but when it's like this I can go outside and work and not worry about too much sun or overheating. Thanks to the powers that be for extending Spring. I will not complain when it turns Summer, I will not complain when it turns Summer, I will not complain when it turns Summer.I have been working in the yard, it's overwhelming. The cooler weather keeps it green but it also makes everything flourish. I trimmed the berry bushes, only the branches without buds and worked on the back 40. The Velcro weeds are like a carpet and of course that's where the cats like to hang out.
I can hear some baby birdies crying for mommy. Chewie is very interested, she LOVES birds. When I feed or water the birds she's right there, cracks me up. She will sit by the cage and just watch them for hours, sometimes nodding off.
Our adventure Friday to Ironstone was fun. We turned in our applications and it looks like we will all be working together, they like to put people that car pool together. We had burgers in Murphy's at the Firewood then frozen yogurt for desert. I drove a road that has intimidated me for several years, it's a height thing, and I did just fine. It's such a relief not having to worry about bridges and cliffs when I'm behind the wheel. maybe I can take some road trips over the summer and not have to plan what route I'm not able to take.
I ran Dillon around for errands yesterday. He has a garage with some friends for a high performance auto shop and it didn't work out. This is the last week-end they have to finish up their projects and get everything moved out. He is almost done with his car, it's been a long process with many wrenches thrown in the works (pun intended). They have to take it to San Francisco on Wednesday for a tune, not a tune-up but a tune, something they do to high performance cars to make sure everything is working at peak performance. I'll just be glad for him when he finally has a running vehicle. He has shown some interest in getting my 72 Super Beetle running and I'm all for that. I would love to see that car on the road.
While he was working I took some pictures of wild flowers. They are so numerous this year. I also got a couple of landscape shots. Have I mentioned I love nature?
Well the mower is calling me and it's supposed to rain off and on all next week so I should probably get busy. Have a nice relaxing Sunday.
