I dropped the dogs off at my friend Marie's' and got on the road around 1:30. What a wonderful drive down to Galen's. The clouds were spectacular, the whole countryside is lush and green, the only brown being where they have sprayed chemicals. The cherries are starting to ripen and everything has lots of foliage. The traffic was normal for a Sunday afternoon but I didn't care, I'm on vacation.
I only have two bags but they are way too heavy so I'll unpack and try to lighten the load a little bit. I have snacks, books, too many clothes, busy work, the lap top . . . .why should this trip be any different. I am a whole bunch better than I used to be.
Just realized the kids will be landing in about an hour. I'm looking forward to seeing the boy, think I'll go make some coffee, good night and hope all you moms had a wonderful today.
