Got home today, for a while this time. The drive was nice and I treated myself to lunch at In-N-Out in Lodi. I love their burgers but the closest one is 50 miles from here so that's usually where I'll go.

I can smell the honeysuckle coming through the front door. It's in full bloom and the jasmine is starting to get buds. The columbine is blooming and there will be lots of seeds this year. The roses are at their peak, this happens every year then as a rule nothing for the rest of the summer.

I'm taking a friend, Pat, to Modesto for a doctor appointment tomorrow. I've been on the road more since last week Sunday since I ever have. It's not so bad if you set markers like the next town or a landmark you know is there. The trip to and from Galen's seems shorter every time. The cherry orchards have tubs laying next to the trees, I'm thinking the picking will be starting soon and the trees are loaded. Hopefully it will keep the price down.

I'm borrowing a camera from Galen and I used it for these picutres, he might not get it back. Just about time for my two favorite shows so I'll say good night.
